About Us
The story of Cleveland Bulls — from humble beginnings to one of the North East's most exciting volleyball clubs.
Our Mission
Cleveland Bulls Volleyball Club exists to promote and develop volleyball in the Cleveland and Teesside area. We aim to provide a welcoming, inclusive environment where players of all abilities can enjoy the sport — whether recreationally or competitively. We are committed to developing our players, building a strong community, and competing at the highest level we can achieve.
Origins of the Bulls
Cal & Dan — Club Founders
The whole idea started when Cal returned home from a stint in Madrid in early 2025, with a dream to see local volleyball grow.
With known interest for volleyball in the area, Cal & Dan teamed up to see what was possible and began devising a plan for a new club. Taking inspiration from Cal's Madrid team Toros (Bulls), Cleveland Bulls was born.
Without a venue, months of planning and preparation took place, before an opportunity arose at a local venue. They decided to take a chance, unsure if the club could be viable, starting sessions in May 2025.
Now, with teams competing in the local league and well attended training sessions, it's fair to say the risk paid off!
